Hollowgram
Hollogram wanted to increase reader engagement in their messaging. Much energy was spent creating external campaigns without hitting the targeted return. The low engagement was also impacting internal collaboration. In a noisy world, the proposed solution was to utilize brevity with an offering to dive deeper. This training walks team members through the “how-to” of communicating with brevity to increase reader engagement.
Tab interactions were used to manage cognitive load and protect against overwhelm. The project itself is brief, providing an example of brevity for the reader.
Audience: HR department, upper, middle, and lower management
Responsibilities: eLearning Development, Instructional Design, Graphic Design
Tools: Articulate Storyline, Adobe Creative Suite
*Although the name of the organization has been changed for portfolio purposes, this project is in existence.
Process
I began by storyboarding the content selected for the eLearning experience and then created an eLearning style guide based on branding. A quick note, I designed their logo and brand package prior to this project. I then built the tab interaction in Articulate Storyline, an eLearning software. Images were produced/manipulated in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. The file has several triggers and was built primarily utilizing states. A rapid prototype was made to collect feedback. To finish up, tweaks were made to enhance the user experience.
Results & Takeaways
This project brought value to human resources, managers, and content creators within the organization. It was also shared with colleagues in my professional network for the purpose of feedback. The main takeaways were that the project was easy to follow and visually clean.
